Residents have been warned of increased traffic on Warwick's roads this weekend due to a number of events taking place at the castle.

The town's main tourist attraction has already brought back its Midsummer Carnival and jousting events during its normal daytime opening hours.

But with Warwick Castle also hosting Gwen Stefani tomorrow night (June 23) and UB40 on Saturday (June 24), local roads are expected to be busier than normal.

A statement from Warwick Police said: "There are a number of events taking place at Warwick Castle this weekend which may result in more people and traffic in and around the town centre.

"Hopefully this disruption will be minimal but please plan your route in advance if you're travelling near the castle."
