Reopening date announced for popular Henley pub
The Black Swan in Henley-in-Arden is set to open on Tuesday 8 August following an extensive refurbishment.
The newly rebranded Heartwood Inns (formerly The White Brasserie Company) revealed it was taking over the High Street eatery in March.
Since then the company has restored the pub's Tudor-fronted building, and given a makeover to the inside, while also retaining many of its original features, including a large inglenook fireplace, wooden floors and snugs.
A Heartwood spokesperson said: "The traditional character has been seamlessly blended with a new oak framed extension, housing a bright, contemporary garden dining area, leading out onto a deck surrounded by planters, creating an idyllic alfresco dining spot."
The grade II listed inn will also include a dog friendly area with complimentary water and treats for canine guests.
The fresh, seasonal menu will include a twice-baked cheese soufflé with Coastal Cheddar sauce; Provençal lamb roulade with confit onion and herb stuffing and a fresh, zesty lemon tart with Normandy crème fraiche.
A Sunday roast will feature beef and lamb from Aubrey Allen, which supplies the Royal household, as well as unlimited Yorkshires, roast potatoes and gravy.
The menu will be accompanied by a range of draft beers, cask ales and a curated wine and cocktail list.
There will also be a children's menu.
"The Black Swan hopes to become the go to place for locals and visitors alike, with an abundance of independent boutiques, bookshops and antique shops nearby, providing a charming day out for all," the spokesperson added.
Heartwood Collection operates 20 Heartwood Inns and 14 Brasserie Blanc restaurants across England.
The company is also hiring for a number of positions at the pub.
