Police make 'no apologies' for 'chaos' caused in detaining two men in Warwick

Warwickshire Police has said it makes "no apologies" for causing "chaos" in the centre of Warwick on Sunday (June 23).

The force's operational patrol unit detained two men who are suspected of a "very serious offence".

"We make no apologies for the chaos we caused in Warwick town centre this afternoon," the force said in a statement yesterday.

"A vehicle containing two suspects for a very serious offence was sighted and we pounced when they least expected it.

"Two males arrested and they are now enjoying Leamington Custody's finest en-suite rooms.
