A twelve-year-old boy has suffered serious leg injuries, after what Police believe was an incident related to a fall off a bike or scooter in Warwick.

Warwickshire Police stated short time the incident, which happened yesterday (26 September), received reports of a group of young males on these vehicles, none of whom were wearing helmets and going round a roundabout the wrong way.

Currently, police are working to tackle the illegal and antisocial use of motorbikes, off-road bikes, e-scooters and electric bikes.

Over the last few months, the Police have seized over 100 of them.

However, it stressed people are still riding them "recklessly."

Chief Inspector Simon Ryan, Policing Commander for South Warwickshire, said: "We can't emphasise enough how important it is for parents to know what their kids are up to and understand the dangers of them riding off-road bikes and e-scooters, both to themselves and others."

'Dob 'Em In' is Warwickshire Police's initiative to tackle the illegal and antisocial use of off-road vehicles.

Anyone with information that can help, should report it and can do so here.
