Police appeal for information after man in his 40's taken to hospital following assault in Warwick park

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a man in his 40's was taken to hospital following an assault in Warwick.

The man was assaulted in St Nicholas Park by a group of up to six other men as he sat on a bench near to the sea scout hut.

The incident occurred between 6.15pm and 6.45pm on Monday 18 July,

The force said: "One of the suspects is described as being mixed race, between 16-17 years old, of a slim build and average height."

"The victim sustained injuries which required hospital treatment.

"It is not believed that the parties were known to each other.

"If anyone witnessed the assault, or has any footage of it, please call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 323 of 18 July 2022."
