Plans to turn Warwick offices back into homes given green light

Council planners have given the green light for an office in the centre of Warwick to be turned back into homes.
Warwick District Council has given Signature Quality Refurbished Homes ltd the go-ahead for the grade II listed building on High Street.
The scheme will see the offices turned into two homes and a rear single storey extension built on the back of one of the homes.
Signing off on the application, a council report said: "The proposals would not have a detrimental impact on the listed building and the surrounding conservation area.
"The proposal is in accordance with the aforementioned policies and it is therefore recommended for approval."
Few external changes will be made as part of the development beyond the extension.
Internal works would include removing internal partitions, changing windows, creating a new bathroom and turning the office rooms into bedrooms.
"This is to preserve and mitigate any harm to the historic fabric of the building, whilst still providing any future occupiers with a characterful home that has evolved to suit modern living," the application said.
It continued: "There are no proposed changes to the front elevation, again preserving the historic frontage of the building and maintaining the character of the High Street.
"The rear elevational changes mainly comprise the demolition of existing extension and replacement proposed."
