Warwick saw people gather for a planned protest near a hotel in the town, which is being used to house asylum seekers.

The Delta hotel, located on Stratford Road in Warwick was initially established to help with "the massive backlog in cases" nationwide, the town's MP revealed, back in November 2025.

Yesterday evening (11 December) Warwick Police issued a statement sharing its team "maintained a presence in the area throughout to ensure the safety of all present" ensuring the protest was a 'peaceful' one.

Police continued: "Thank you to all who worked with us to exercise their democratic right to protest in a way that was peaceful and lawful."

A joint statement from Warwick District Council and Warwickshire County Council previously called for "compassion, and support for people in need" from the community.
