A Warwickshire printing company is inviting budding photographers to enter a new competition on the theme of the 'Local Environment.'

The lucky person judged to have taken the best photo in-keeping with the theme will win a NEWSPEED Mountain Bike, worth £150, as well as a 20x28 inch or 24x24 inch canvas of their image worth £96.

A runner-up will also receive a 16x24 inch or 11x16 inch canvas of their image worth £84.

The Fat Tyre mountain bike has 21-speed gears and a 17-inch lightweight aluminium frame, mechanical disc brakes and front suspension.

It comes after Bunji, based on Heathcote Industrial Estate, recently joined the Bike2Work Scheme.

Bunji specialises in all forms of printing across thousands of products and is enjoying huge success with plans for further growth in the pipeline.

Commissions include working with Sporting House, an Olympian-founded organisation that delivers sports academies and coaching across the UK, including Beth Tweddle Gymnastics and Becky Adlington's Swim Stars.

It also lists among its sporting partners, England Netball and Volleyball and British Fencing, providing thousands of membership packs and branded items, from badges, awards and certificates through to clothing, goggles and drinks bottles, used at swim and gymnastics academies across the UK.

The business has recently been awarded rare FSC accreditation in a move which owner Steve Boyle claims is the 'ethical responsibility of businesses.'

Steve is now calling for other firms to apply for the Forestry Stewardship Certification eco hallmark in a renewed bid to come together to fight climate change.

Steve said: "Now that my business is established, we want to be able to say, as a printing and stationery company, that we're doing our bit.

"Businesses have a social responsibility to try and clean up their act. More and more this is a mantra we need to live by, especially as there is increasing demand from the customer. Everybody has got to do what is within their powers as a business or individual, and as a printer I'm acutely aware our impact can be greater than most."

Winners will also receive a canvas print of their photograph (image supplied)

Photo entries can be of anything that falls within the Local Environment and Sustainability theme and should be emailed as a jpeg attachment to: [email protected] by Friday, September 22. Be sure to include the title of the photo, your name and phone number.

The photos will be judged by Steve Boyle and winners notified soon after by email.
