New Warwick Specsavers nears completion as opening date set
Warwick's new Specsavers store is nearing completion – with opening set for Monday 21 November.
The Mayor of Warwick, Cllr Parminder Singh Birdi, will officially open the doors to the Market Place store at 10am.
"We're super excited to be opening our doors and delighted that the mayor is joining us to celebrate," comments store director, Lena Aggarwal.
"Our aim is that this location will act as a sister store to our Leamington Spa practice – adding a convenient option for those looking for the very best optical and audiology care.
"Alongside our commitment to eye and ear care we're also passionate about our community, supporting people and places.
"So, in line with the store opening we'll be kicking off our support for Warwickshire Vision Support, a charity which provides vital services for people living with sight loss across the county."
The new store is part-owned and run by local residents, Lena and Navin Aggarwal, who have nearly 30 years' optical experience between them.
It has two test rooms over one floor, along with a dedicated contact lens area, audiology room and a state-of-the-art piece of equipment usually found in hospitals.
The Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine takes detailed scans of the back of the eye and helps detect eye conditions up to four years earlier than traditional methods.
Store manager Pamela De Jesus heads-up the nine-strong team.
