A new beauty salon is set to open this summer in Warwick's Old Square, replacing a former cafe.

The salon will be located at the former Spoon and Whisk bakery and coffee shop, which was forced to close in November after the owners said the business had "hit a wall."

Following the closure the landlord secured the property to keep it protected after it was reportedly left "abandoned."

The salon owner, Lydia Rose, currently works at House Of HD in Leamington as a nail technician and is now planning to open her own beauty salon in Warwick.

After standing empty for six months, work is now underway to transform the building into a new salon offering nails, lashes, brows, beauty and aesthetics.

The new business is set to open later this summer.
