New family-run craft beer pub set to open in Warwick
By Nadia Sayed 21st Jun 2026
Warwick is set to a brand new beer pub this summer.
The Thirsty Bear, which owners say is named in honour of Warwickshire's iconic county bear, is set to open on Smith Street.
A family-run business, the venue is currently undergoing a major refurbishment and being developed by a father-and-son team who hope to bring a constantly evolving selection of beers to the town centre.
Speaking to Ben, one of the owners, he shared that visitors can expect regularly rotating beer lines, with around eight to ten keg and cask options available at any one time.

The pub marks the family's second business venture, following the closure of their engineering company last year.
Rather than a large launch event, The Thirsty Bear is expected to begin with a soft opening during the week.
The pub is also set to show this year's World Cup matches and get involved in local community events, including the Warwick Beer and Cider Festival and the upcoming Smith Street Party.
Further details, including an official opening date, are expected to be announced soon.
