MP 'relieved' village poultry plans are 'finally' refused
Warwick's MP said he was relieved to hear that "flawed" plans to rebuild to poultry houses in Norton Lindsey have been refused.
Access issues scuppered the latest application for Ward Hill, with MP for Warwick and Leamington Matt Western among 100 people who objected to the scheme.
Similar plans had already been refused by Warwick District Council before its planning committee rejected yet another proposal last week.
Mr Western raised concerns about the environmental impact from the smell, possible health concerns, the effect on the green belt and increased traffic.
Residents were concerned the farm would create an increase in traffic on what they called an "already very busy stretch of road".
Mr Western said: "I am relieved the council have finally decided to shut down this flawed proposal.
"Residents of Norton Lindsey have been resolute in their opposition to this proposal since it was first raised almost four years ago, and I have been pleased to stand with them throughout."
