Man arrested in Warwick for stealing large amount of meat and assaulting Police

An man has been taken into custody after stealing lots of meat from local stores and assaulting a police officer.

The incident took place on the evening of 17 December, where police discovered that the man had stolen a substantial quantity of meat products from various local stores.

The man, initially under suspicion for stealing a large amount of meat products from Tesco in Warwick, was found with a van filled with stolen items sourced from four different retailers.

The total value of the stock amounted to hundreds of pounds worth.

Upon their arrival to the Emscote Tesco, Police identified the man and during his arrest, he assaulted one of the officers.

This led police to use incapacitant spray and implement physical restrain to retrain the man in question.

He remains in custody.
