Man arrested for failing breath test after driving car into house's back garden

A driver has been arrested for failing a roadside breath test after driving his car through a garden wall in Wellesbourne.

Officers from Warwickshire Police's Operational Patrol Unit arrested the Skoda driver in Walton Road after he crashed through a fence into a field on a bend.

The car ended up in the rear garden of a nearby house.

Having failed a roadside test the man was taken into custody where he failed a second test.

Police arranged recovery of the vehicle and the man was held in custody overnight for interview and will be charged to court.
