Man arrested after allegedly trying to bite police officer in Warwick

A police officer was nearly bitten by a man as she responded to reports of a disturbance in Warwick.

The unnamed officer was attending a flat in Spinney Hill where the 32-year-old allegedly tried to bite her.

The suspect is also alleged to have racially assaulted another man

He was arrested and later charged with criminal damage, assaulting an emergency worker, and racially aggravated harassment.

Warwickshire Police also said another officer reported being headbutted after he took a suspect to hospital following a disturbance in Church Road, Nuneaton.

That suspect also allegedly racially abused a member of staff at the hospital.

The 30-year-old from London was arrested on suspicion of assault, assaulting a police officer, and committing a racially aggravated public order offence.
