Major piece of development land opposite Warwick school sold for £1.4m

A piece of grazing land opposite a Warwick secondary school has been sold for £1.4 million.

Property agent Wareing & Co confirmed the 10 acre site off Stratford Road was bought at the end of July.

Opposite Aylesford School and the Playbox Theatre, the land is described as "an attractive opportunity for purchasers seeking long-term development potential".

The land was marketed as future employment land, subject to being included in the new local plan.

It was bought by an unnamed private buyer.

Bill Wareing, director of Wareing & Company, said: "This was an excellent opportunity to acquire a substantial strategic site in a highly accessible location within Warwick.

"While the land is currently agricultural, its position and surrounding uses mean it offers considerable long-term potential for employment development, subject of course to the necessary planning approvals and allocation through the planning process.

"We were delighted to secure a successful outcome for our client".
