Motorists in Hatton are being warned of major disruption this autumn as six weeks of roadworks are planned.

More roadworks are coming to Birmingham Road and the surrounding streets, Warwickshire County Council has confirmed.

The works - for Cadent Gas - will last for six weeks until Friday 27 November.

Three phases have been confirmed.

Phase one will begin on Hockley Road before continuing onto Birmingham Road and ending at the Canal Road junction.

Phase two will cross Birmingham Road and continue into Brownley Green Lane, followed by the final phase on Brownley Green Lane.

Temporary traffic lights will be required throughout the project to enable the work to be completed safely.

"Here at Cadent, we look after the gas pipes in your area," Cadent said.

"We make sure the pipes that bring the gas to your home keep you safe, warm and connected.

"We're replacing the old pipes with new plastic ones which will mean that you'll be ready for greener gas in the future."
