A local care provider has been named as one of the "Top 20 Mid-Size Care Home Groups" in the UK for the second year in a row.

Awarded by Carehome.co.uk, the title recognised WCS Care for its exemplary work running 13 care homes across the region including Castle Brook (a care home for older people and people with dementia) and Newlands (a care home for younger adults) in Kenilworth.

The award is based on reviews submitted to Carehome.co.uk by residents, their relatives, and friends, achieving an overall group review score.

Commenting on the achievement Ed Russell, chief executive of WCS Care, said: "This award recognises the team's care and compassion for our residents day in and day out.

"I am pleased that we have received this for a second year in a row, and want to thank our team for their hard work and dedication."

WCS celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022, and its site in Warwick - Woodside Care Village - was described as a pioneer in person-centred care by The Guardian
