Historic gardens to open for annual Snowdrop event

A collection of over 130 different varieties of Snowdrop will be on display at a historic gardens in Warwick next month.

Hill Close Gardens will open its doors to guests for the annual Snowdrop Weekend on February 4 and 5.

The Victorian gardens will be open between 11am and 4pm each day, with refreshments, bulbs and plants all on sale.

The gardens has this week been listed in the Daily Telegraph's top places to see snowdrops in the UK.

The article said: "For the sheer number of varieties of snowdrop, Hill Close Gardens – a rare example of a detached Victorian leisure garden – is unbeatable: it holds more than 130 different types.

"The annual Snowdrop Weekend will take place on the 4 and 5 February this year, featuring a guided walking route and bulb sale."

Adult tickets on the door will cost £5.

The gardens will also host a Snowdrop drawing event on the afternoon of Saturday, February 11.
