A local coach company has scooped a number of prizes at the routeone Awards 2023.
Held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the awards – now in its 17th year – welcomed 770 guests to recognise the achievements of operators and individuals working within the coach and bus industry.
John Johnson, commercial director of Johnsons Coaches, based in Henley-in Arden, received this year's Special Award – the only category nominated directly by the judges.
Johnsons was also highly commended in the Large Coach Operator of the Year and the Coach Tourism Programme of the Year categories.
The black-tie celebration began with entertainment from actor, comedian and writer, Ardal O'Hanlon.
"The routeone Awards once more upheld its status as the foremost platform for acknowledging excellence in the coach and bus industry," says Helen Conway, event director at organiser Diversified Communications.
"Yet again, the calibre of this year's Awards finalists was truly exceptional. To stand out in such an innovative, creative, and dedicated industry is no small achievement, but our 2023 winners unquestionably do so.
"It was truly remarkable to witness the industry out in full force celebrating successes. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our winners, those highly commended, and all the finalists."
