A grade II listed shop on Warwick's Smith Street has been put on the rental market.

Number 68a is on the market with local agent Hawkesford for £12,000.

"Situated within this popular retail area close to the centre of Warwick town centre this ground floor retail unit contains a wealth of original features and being well presented throughout with accommodation," the brochure said.

A prospective new owner would need to put down three month's rent as a deposit, the brochure adds.

The building is thought to date back to the late 18th century and is one of a number of buildings on Smith Street which are protected.

Historic England said the unit was first listed back in 1973.

The shop has been home to a number of different businesses, including an IT support firm, antiques shop and a barbers.
