GALLERY: Warwick's Victorian Evening celebrates 40th anniversary

By James Smith 27th Nov 2023

Warwick's Victorian Evening returned last Thursday (November 23) as the event celebrated its 40th anniversary.

The evening saw the town centre taken over with a Victorian market and era-themed rides.

Many traders and guests made the most of the chance to dress up in period attire, with prizes given out for the best costumes.

New for this year and to celebrate the 40th anniversary was a Victorian themed photo booth on The Holloway which was free to use, a new cake walk ride, mime acts, a magician, and a band in Victorian steampunk costume.

A fire spinner was also performing on Brook Street.

Entertainment on the stage began at 5pm before the lights were switched on at 7pm by Mayor of Warwick, Cllr Oliver Jacques, alongside local young boxers Serena Mali and Jaya Kalsi, as well as organisers of the original Victorian Evening.

A range of photographs from the night can be seen at the top of this page.
