Warwick's popular Victorian Evening returns on Thursday 27 November, offering visitors the chance to step back in time and experience the sights, sounds and smells of a Victorian Christmas.

Starting from 3pm with a Victorian market in the Square and rides and entertainment around the town centre, the performances get underway on the stage at 5pm.

The lights being switched on at 7pm by the Mayor of Warwick, Cllr Jackie D'Arcy.

Parking will be free in all Warwick District Council off-street car parks in Warwick from 12pm on Thursday 27 November to support the event. On-street parking charges will still apply.

There will also be a best-dressed Victorian costume competition which will be judged at 7.30pm at the stage.

The best dressed adult will win four main enclosure tickets to a fixture of your choice for the 2025/26 season at Warwick Racecourse

And the Best Dressed Child will win a premium annual family pass at Warwick Castle.

CJ's Events Warwickshire - which is helping run the event - said: "Wander through the glowing streets of Warwick as twinkling Christmas lights light the way, filling the air with magic and joy. This beloved tradition brings the community together in the most heartwarming way.

"The highlight of the evening? A special visit from the jolly man himself — Santa Claus! Little ones’ faces will light up with wonder at the sight of his iconic red suit and snowy white beard.

"Nearby, a traditional carousel spins with delight, while traction engines chug along and fire spinners dazzle the crowd with their breathtaking displays."

  • 5pm Royal Spa Brass
  • 5.30pm Aylesford School Choir
  • 6pm ISDA (I Sing, I Dance, I Act) performance
  • 6.30pm Kitty Von Mew
  • 7pm Light switch on with the mayor
  • 7.10pm St Mary's Choir
  • 7.30pm Fancy Dress Competition
  • 7.40pm Ronnie's Bar - Warwick's Got Talent winner
  • 7.50pm Kitty Von Mew
  • 8pm Tom Corsi

The event is free to attend.

Locals can also pay to meet the donkeys in the Lord Leycester courtyard. Tickets cost just £3 per person.
