Full details announced for Warwick's first vintage carnival
Full details have been announced for Warwick's first vintage carnival by organisers CJ's Events Warwickshire.
The town centre celebration will come to Market Place on Sunday, July 3 with local businesses, visitors and traders stepping back in time to embrace all things vintage.
The event will begin at 10am and run until 5pm.
Residents are encouraged to "dress up for the day in your Sunday best whether it be roaring 20's or 50's glamour" - with a best dressed competition judged by the mayor.
As well as old-fashion fairground rides, there will also be pre 1970's cars on display, 50 retailers, street food and pop up bars.
Many of the bars will even be serving from converted vintage vehicles.
A stage will host singers, dancers and bands playing classic vintage tunes.
Classic cars and bikes will include everything from a Cadillac Coupe Deville to an MG TD, Austin Seven to a Riley convertible. BSA Motorcycle Club is also set to attend.
And guests can even have a vintage makeover from the pop up Le Keux Vintage salon by booking an appointment by emailing [email protected] or turn up on the day for a walk in appointment.
The steam train will return on a 200 metre section of track.
And there will be face painting and temporary tattoos on offer.
The stage line up:
10am - 11am Warwickshire Rock and Rollers
11am - 12 noon - Echoes Acoustic Duo
12 noon - 2pm - The Swing Era
