Organised by Rotary Club of Warwick, Warwick Thai Festival will return this weekend.

Hosted at Warwick Racecourse, the event will run from 10.30am to 6pm on Saturday (July 9) and from 10.30am to 5pm on Sunday.

The two-day festival - which costs just £5 per ticket - will bring "a touch of Thai culture" to the town through food and performances.

The festival will start with a traditional food offering to Buddhist monks.

Entertainment throughout the weekend will include traditional music and dancing, Muay Thai boxing, Ladyboy show, and a unique eating competition.

There will also be a wide variety of Thai food and produce stalls, a Thai beer garden, Thai massage, and a children's play area.

Thai festivals have been held by the Rotary Club since the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004 to raise disaster aid, and the club has continued support ever since, most recently during Covid when many people lost their jobs.

The event is run in partnership with Magic of Thailand.

The company was founded in 2012 and now also organises festivals in Poole, Basingstoke, Manchester, Nottingham, Norwich, Cambridge, Bournemouth, Brighton and London.

Under 15's can attend for free.

Warwick Sea Scouts will be organising the car parking in the centre of the racecourse. They will be collecting donations (suggested £2) for all day parking.

Tickets are available in advance here or on the door.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a lead.
