All lanes of the M42 southbound have now reopened following a lorry fire.

Two lanes were closed earlier this afternoon between junction four (Dorridge) and junction 3A (M40) following the incident.

Queues of 35 minutes were reported.

But an update from National Highways said: "Traffic is now running smoothly through the area."
