A flooding alert remains in place for the River Avon from Rugby to Bidford-on-Avon.

An update from the Environment Agency at 11.32pm on Monday (January 6) said: "River levels are rising at the Warwick river gauge as a result of persistent heavy rainfall and snowmelt.

"Consequently, flooding of roads and farmland is expected to continue Monday evening and into Tuesday morning 07/01/2025.

"We expect flooding to affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Avon between Rugby and Bidford including Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, caravan parks and farmland."

The warnings around Gog Brook and St Johns Brook have been removed.
