A new family-focused health centre in Warwick is offering the chance for locals to take a look inside and explore the site, in a free community open weekend.

One of Warwick's best-known historic buildings is about to get a new lease of life, as Northgate House is preparing to open as Warwick Health - a new health centre with a particular focus on children, families, chiropractic care, scoliosis, rehabilitation and sports performance.

The Grade II* listed building on Northgate South Side has been acquired by local chiropractors Pete and Cindy Townsend, founders of Kenilworth Chiropractic Clinic. Their aim is to make Northgate House feel alive, welcoming and useful to the community again, while carefully looking after the character of the building.

Built in Warwickshire, with experience around the world Pete and Cindy established Kenilworth Chiropractic Clinic in 2007. Since then, the clinic has cared for more than 24,000 patients and grown into one of the UK's largest and busiest single-site chiropractic clinics, with hundreds of patient visits each week and more than 870 five-star reviews.

The team's work has also taken them far beyond Warwickshire. Members of the clinical team have spent more than two decades supporting elite sport and live entertainment, including long-standing work with WWE and touring productions involving artists such as Take That, Guns N' Roses, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, Fleetwood Mac and Olivia Rodrigo.

But Pete says the heart of the new Warwick centre is much closer to home.

Pete expressed: "Northgate House is such a special Warwick building and we feel incredibly lucky to be looking after it. We want to bring it back to life and make it feel welcoming, useful and part of the town again.

"Our aim is simple: to create somewhere people feel comfortable walking through the door, whether they're bringing a child in, dealing with a back or joint problem, coming for rehabilitation, attending an event, or just asking us a question.

"We're planning access carefully and will make sure patients and visitors have clear information about parking and travel. Being good neighbours really matters to us, and we want Warwick Health to feel like a positive addition to the town."

A major part of Warwick Health will be dedicated to children, teenagers and families.

The centre will include family-friendly and paediatric facilities, care for growing children and young athletes, scoliosis assessment, adult chiropractic care, rehabilitation and sports performance services.

General scoliosis assessments will be available from opening, with bespoke scoliosis programmes beginning in January 2027 as the specialist service develops.

To celebrate the launch, Pete, Cindy and the Warwick Health team are inviting local people into Northgate House for a community open weekend on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026 between 10am and 1pm.

Visitors will be able to look around the historic building and new clinic, meet the team, hear short informal talks and have a complimentary posture and movement check. The chiropractors and clinical team will also be around throughout the weekend to answer general questions about back and neck pain, joints, children's musculoskeletal health, scoliosis, sports injuries and rehabilitation.

Cindy Townsend further shared: "You absolutely do not need to be a patient. We would just love people to come in, say hello, have a look around Northgate House and see what we have been creating. We want Warwick Health to feel part of the town from day one."
