An update has been issued following a blaze at a Warwick industrial unit last night (September 28).
Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at Wedgnock Road at 4.50pm where there was a fire at a single-storey warehouse.
Six crews were needed to tackle the fire as the smoke from the incident drifted over the nearby A46.
"Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service was alerted around 4.50pm on Monday 28 September to reports of a fire on an industrial estate on Wedgnock Road in Warwick," a service spokesperson told Nub News.
"On arrival crews found a fire in a single storey industrial unit containing lithium batteries and engine oil.
"At the height of the incident there were six crews in attendance.
"Due to the proximity to the A46 and the risk of smoke drifting over the carriageway, local residents were advised to take additional care whilst driving."
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We were called by the fire service to Wedgnock Lane, Warwick at 6.20pm on Monday 28 September.
"An ambulance attended and assessed two men before conveying them to Warwick Hospital for precautionary checks."
