Firefighters were called to a lorry fire on the M40 at around 7am this morning (February 13).

The on call crew at Henley Fire Station was called to the motorway where a Muller lorry's rear breaks had caught fire.

The incident was dealt with on the hard shoulder and did not lead to any significant delays.

"They were alerted at 7am and within seven minutes of booking mobile were dealing with the incident and containing it to just the wheels of the vehicle," the station said in a statement.

"This saved the area from potential environmental impact."
