Essex man charged with murder following shooting of Ben Daly

A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder following the shooting of Ben Daly in Leamington in August.

Liviu Sandor, of Romford in Essex, was arrested by Essex officers who were acting on behalf of Warwickshire Police.

Warwickshire Police has already made a number of arrests after Mr Daly was found with a gunshot wound in Clemens Street at around 3am on Thursday August 10. 

The force said yesterday (October 1) that a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender and has now been released on bail.

Five other people have previously been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and two on suspicion of murder. They have also been released on bail.

Mr Sandor was brought to custody in Warwickshire and in the early hours of this morning (2 October) he was charged with murder.

He will appear before Coventry Magistrates today.
