Local NHS services are "under extreme pressure" and patients are being urged to do what they can to help as Covid-19 and flu infections increase.
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust has taken to social media to ask locals to take steps to limit the rate of infection.
"Flu and Covid-19 infections are increasing in our hospitals and communities, and our services continue to be under extreme pressure," the statement said.
"We are asking the public to help protect themselves, our patients and our staff by taking simple steps to reduce the spread of infection."
Patients and visitors are being asked to:
- Wear a mask when entering wards
- Wash your hands thoroughly before entering and after leaving wards
- Use hand gel regularly during visits to hospitals
- Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, disposing of tissues in a bin and washing your hands afterwards
- Do not visit patients if you have any symptoms of Flu or Covid-19
"We urge you to choose the right NHS service for your needs," the statement added.
"Using the most appropriate service for your condition helps ensure our hospital and emergency services remain available for those who need them most."
