Council reminds residents that BBQ's are banned in Warwick parks

Park-users have been reminded by the district council that barbecues are not allowed in local green spaces.
With residents heading to parks across the area to make the most of the hot weather, Warwick District Council has warned that the "risk of fire is greater than ever".
WDC has also extended the BBQ ban to the designated area in Newbold Comyn.
The council said this was "temporary" but has not given an end date for the ban.
Cllr Moira-Ann Grainger, portfolio holder for leisure and neighbourhood services, said: "The recent wildfires in southern Europe area are a stark reminder of how dangerous and life-threatening grass fires can be, and how quickly they can spread.
"This is why in order to protect our parks and for safety reasons we cannot permit barbeques or fire lighting in any of our public spaces.
"We are therefore urging everyone to be responsible and considerate, particularly during this hot weather when the risk of fire is greater than ever."
Residents are urged to remain vigilant and call 999 if they see any smouldering, as grass fires can quickly get out of control.
