A new fund to help households who are struggling to ease cost of living pressures has launched.

Not-for-profit community groups, organisations and Parent Teachers Associations/'Friends of' schools can apply to the Council for a grant up to £1,500.

The grant fund supports projects and initiatives that can help households with assistance such as:

  • Supplying food and other household essentials
  • Assisting with access to services
  • Helping with finances
  • Supporting mental health and wellbeing
  • School holiday activities or food provision during the school holidays

Warwick District Council's portfolio holder for communities and leisure, Cllr Jim Sinnott commented: "We are very aware of the impact that the cost-of-Living crisis continues to have on the most vulnerable groups in our community.

"These grants will help organisations who are at the heart of our communities provide support to those that really need it, so I'd encourage any groups and organisations eligible to apply."

Applications can be made on the Warwick District Council website.

The deadline for applications is Monday 9 December 2024.
