On Thursday evening (February 16), Matt Western hosted his third annual MP Awards to highlight the brilliant work of those working in the public sector, voluntary organisations and communities.

The Warwick and Leamington MP first held his awards in 2021 to showcase the work of people, teams, organisations and businesses across the two towns.

This year's awards had three categories – individuals, community group and business and team - with three individual winners, one community group winner and two business and team winners.

A special recognition award was also given to Warwick District Foodbank by Mr Western to recognise the contribution it has made to supporting families during the cost of living crisis.

Mr Western said:

"It is incredible to see how much great work happens in our communities and I am delighted that we have had chance to recognise this at my MP Awards.

"I want to congratulate all winners, finalists and nominees. You are all deserving of the utmost recognition and respect for all you do.

"Thank you for making Warwick, Leamington, Whitnash and the surrounding villages such a great place to live."

Winners for the categories were:

Individual

Amanda Burford for her work at the Packmores Community Centre.

Dawid Kozlowski for his work with Aid for Ukraine.

Helen Aris for the support she has provided Ukrainian families joining the local community.

Community Group

The Polish Centre for their efforts providing aid to Ukraine.

Business and Team

Rethink, Grapevine and Experts by Experience for their work transforming local mental health facilities.

Make Good Grow for their social enterprise work supporting more than 100 good causes in 2022.
