Closing down sale at South Warwickshire Homebase
A closing down sale is well underway at the Homebase store at Leamington Shopping Park.
Hilco, owner of the DIY retailer announced last month administrators had been appointed for the company and 70 UK stores had been sold to owner of The Range.
The news left a further 49 stores under threat.
And now closing down sale signs have been put in the window of the store at Myton Road.
They simply say "store closing - everything must go".
When the administration was announced Damian McGloughlin, CEO of Homebase, said: "It has been an incredibly challenging three years for the home and garden improvement market.
"A decline in consumer confidence and spending following the pandemic has been exacerbated by the impact of persistent high inflation, global supply chain issues and unseasonable weather.
"Against this backdrop, we have taken many and wide-ranging actions to improve trading performance including restructuring the business and seeking fresh investment.
"These efforts have not been successful and today we have made the difficult decision to appoint administrators."
Nub News asked Homebase when its South Warwickshire store would be closing - but the company would not confirm a final date.
