Closed Warwick café back on the market after locks changed
By James Smith 2nd Feb 2026
A Warwick café which closed last year is back on the market.
Spoon & Whisk on Old Square closed in November after it "hit a wall".
A notice in the window said the locks had been changed after the property was "abandoned".
The unit is now on the market with local agent EHB Reeves and is available to let for £9,500 per year.
When the business closed, it took to social media to say: "It's no headline news that business is impossible for some of us right now, and unfortunately, we hit that wall at the end of September.
"Warwick has been such an amazing town to be a part of, and I will be forever grateful to everyone who has visited us and supported us from afar.
"Its been lovely getting to know you all, and I am so proud of the little corner of Old Square we created and how much of a success it was — seeing you all enjoy our bakes and coffee meant the world."
A notice in the window of the Warwick shop said the landlord had been forced to re-enter the property and change the locks after it was left "abandoned".
"You have not responded to repeated attempts to contact you," it said.
"In order to protect the property, safeguard the services, and comply with the landlord's insurance obligations relating to unoccupied premises, the landlord has today (November 7) re-entered the property.
"The locks have been changed to facilitate access for this purpose."
