Classic Car Show to return to Warwick this weekend
Up to 150 pre-1990's cars will descend on Warwick this weekend as the Classic Car Show returns to town.
The event, which began back in 2010, is now run by Warwick Court Leet and will return to Market Place on Sunday, August 14.
Unlike regular car shows the event is completely free to attend for both spectators and owners displaying their vehicles.
Held every August, there will be an array of classic cars, kit cars, vans and possibly even lorries as the town centre is filled with automobiles.
Following the successful return of the Court Leet's beer festival in July, the full return of the Classic Car Show marks yet another community event resuming as normal.
Last year organisers limited the number of vehicles at the show to 100 to ease social distancing in the town centre.
As well as offering a chance to enjoy the sunshine and the hot weather, the Classic Car Show gives visitors the opportunity to chat to the vehicle owners and find out more about their cars, the history and why they own them.
A statement on the Warwick Court Leet website said: "The Court helps with the logistics of the event and is still overseen by Matt Phillips who started it back in 2010.
"There are a dedicated band of volunteers and with assistance from the Court in marshalling the event during the day.
"This event is different from many other car shows because it is free to the owners of the displayed vehicles and there are no admission charges to the public.
"This was the overriding reason why the Court Leet became involved as we believe in showcasing our beautiful town and its events."
