Characterful independent store in Warwick celebrates its second birthday
By Nadia Sayed 17th May 2026
An independent Warwick shop has celebrated its second birthday in the town, this week.
BeHoptimystic, opened back in 2024, after years of success selling crystals, minerals and fossils weekly at Warwick Market, along with other markets and events across Warwick district.
A small, but characterful shop on Market Place, BeHoptimystic is full of crystals, minerals and associated items such as incense, cards, jewellery and books.
Reflecting on its second anniversary in the town, owner of the store, Katy Saunders shared: "The shop has embedded itself into the Warwick community and is also sought out and travelled by collectors and enthusiasts.
"It has changed quite a bit as the building itself underwent some major works and BeHoptimystic has built upon that and continues to make the most of the small but perfect space.
"In the last two years we've had quite a few events for customers seeking more guidance or wanting to learn, this year that's evolved into small group workshops which are currently underway. "

"There's a really wide range on offer and the shop appeals to children, mineral collectors, healers, home owners seeking meaningful aesthetics as there's something for everyone" added Katy.
Despite not having a big celebration at the store, Katy highlighted she was "really surprised at all the lovely comments and reactions to the social media posts" about BeHoptimystic turning two.
Katy shared: "I am so grateful for all the people who support, compliment and visit the shop - it is really nice to know all your effort and work is appreciated. It's good to be still going strong, two years in.
Looking ahead, Katy noted that space is something she would love more of, in terms of the store.
She is hoping to find a space that she can use out of hours and to deliver to a wider audience.
