A chain with a store in Warwick has entered administration today.

The announcement was made for The Original Factory Shop - which has a unit at Market Square - as well as jewellery chain Claire's.

Modella Capital - which owns both - has put the retailers into insolvency proceedings as it hopes to get breathing space to find a buyer.

The Original Factory Shop has 140 stores and 1,220 staff nationwide.

Modella only bought Claire's in September and discount store The Original Factory Shop since early 2025.

"This has been a very tough decision," said Modella.

"We have worked intensively in an effort to save both businesses, having made last-ditch attempts to rescue them, but neither has a realistic possibility of trading profitably again."

There is currently a 'huge stock clearance event' at The Original Factory Shop in Warwick.
