Award-winning burger restaurant Libertine Burger is opening its third restaurant in popular Stratford-upon-Avon.

The cult burger brand, which has restaurants in Leamington Spa and Rugby, will create at least 20 jobs with the opening of its new venue in Bell Court.

The new site is set to open its doors in March, giving Stratford residents and visitors to the historic town the chance to try Libertine's award-winning burgers.

The milestone comes just a year after Libertine moved to bigger premises opposite its former home on Warwick Street in Leamington as part of bigger plans to roll out even more branches across the country in the coming years.

Libertine Burger founder Charles Harris said: "We spent a long time looking for the perfect place for our third site and Stratford-upon-Avon is just right. Thanks to our nationwide delivery service people across the country can enjoy a Libertine Burger at home, but we know everyone loves the full restaurant experience and now we can bring that to even more people thanks to the new restaurant.

"The new Leamington restaurant created a blueprint for our future venues, so Stratford will follow that design, ensuring we can serve up our great burgers in a unique setting for people who live, work and visit the town. We can't wait to open our doors and show everyone our new home."

Since its birth as a street food business in 2017, Libertine toured some of the biggest UK festivals and went on to become a finalist in both the British Street Food Awards in 2017 and in the National Burger Awards 2018 and to win the Blogger's choice award at the National Burger Awards 2019. It is also a finalist in the Just Eat Restaurant Awards, which will be announced in February 2023.

It has continued to cement its reputation as one of the big-name burger brands in the country, boasting customers from across the UK who either travel to eat its burgers at the restaurant or enjoy them via its DIY kits available for nationwide delivery.

Libertine offers a range of signature beef, chicken and vegan-friendly burgers. It puts provenance first, sourcing its beef from award-winning Warwickshire butchers Aubrey Allen.

Its latest creation is the #512 - dubbed by some as the 'baconiest non-bacon burger' out there - which includes Libertine's signature vegan patty, a plant-based brioche bun, This isn't bacon (plant based rashers), Baconnaise, Vegan Bourbon bacon jam, vegan Frazzles, ketchup, French's mustard, lettuce & pickles.

The company also offers DIY kits so people across the UK can enjoy burgers in their own home. The kits are designed to be pocket friendly, without sacrificing on quality. Simple instructions tell you exactly how to prepare and cook your burgers, with the option of adding extras like house sides, sauces, and drinks.

Libertine has plans for special kits in the coming months, including a Valentine's kit for date nights at home, as well as a limited edition SuperBowl DIY Kit featuring everything for the perfect SuperBowl snack.
