Average Warwick property price soars £27k in 12 months

The average property price in Warwick has risen nearly £27,000 in the last 12 months according to new government data.

Detached houses in the district have seen the biggest surge in value, going up by £72,398 on average between February 2021 and February 2022.

Whilst first time buyers spent £21,000 more on their first property at the start of 2022 compared to those the year before.

The UK House Price Index data, published this April, shows that across the UK there was a 10.9 per cent rise in property price on average.

In Warwick district the increase was actually 8.8 per cent, although this does vary by property type.

The data also shows that the average property price in the area, £354,373, is significantly higher than that of the UK as a whole - £276,755.

Average property price increases in Warwick district between Febraury 2021 and February 2022

According to the price index over 2,500 properties have been sold in the area in the past 12 months.

Property buyers in Warwick district can now expect to pay on average:

  • £640,909 for a detached house.
  • £374,797 for a semi-detached house.
  • £308,473 for a terraced house.
  • £215,911 for a flat or maisonette.
