South Warwickshire car manufacturer Aston Martin has cut 170 jobs as losses continue to grow.

Fewer cars are also being sold by the luxury car brand, following production and supply chain issues.

Gaydon-based Aston Martin said it is cutting five per cent of its workforce across manufacturing, office jobs and management.

The company is looking to save £25 million annually, and will reportedly save half of that this year.

Aston Martin said in a statement the cuts are a "difficult but necessary action".

Plans for fully electric cars have also been pushed back.
