Take a group of photographers and give them 12 subjects to interpret – and see what they come up with.
That is the concept behind the 'Take Twelve' challenge undertaken by a number of members of Leamington Spa Photographic Society's style group - which includes members from Kenilworth and Warwick.
The resulting grid of pictures will form the centrepiece of the group's 'Work in Progress' exhibition at All Saints' Parish Church in Leamington from Thursday August 10 until Sunday August 13.
Among the subjects tackled and interpreted by the photographers were Agile, Delicious, Humorous, Joyous, Love, Panic, Suspended and Trapezoid.
In addition to the Take Twelve display, members of the style group will be exhibiting panels of their own work.
Those cover subjects as wide-ranging as cyanotype prints, spectacular shots of Red Arrows' vapour trails, artistic images illustrating the grace of swimming Koi carp, colourful fishermen's houses on a Greek island, atmospheric North Wales landscapes – and, intriguingly, a clock showing different times throughout the day.
Group co-ordinator Stefan Shillington said: "Giving each member their own space means they can show a body of work on a theme, rather than being restricted to single images.
"Hopefully that means our visitors will also get a greater appreciation of what the photographer is seeking to convey."
The exhibition is open from 12.30 to 5.30 on Thursday August 10, 10.30 to 5.30 on Friday August 11 and Saturday August 12, and 12.30 to 5pm on Sunday August 13.
