I thought, like many others, that I knew most of what Warwick can offer.

After having the privilege of being the town mayor for seven months, how wrong could I be!

I've realised how little I know about some places and people here, but you don't have to be the town mayor to find out for yourselves.

In between all the amazing events that we have in the town, (some dating back hundreds of years!) we have somewhere to be proud of, being a part of a place that conjures up something new it seems nearly every day, a place with a certain buzz and vibrancy.

The name Warwick is known throughout the world for many reasons.

We have a town that is unique and has a fabulous community that many places locally are rather envious of.

I've met some truly amazing people in my time as mayor, many of whom are those that quietly go about their business, volunteering to make the town a better place and helping people around them.

Thanks to those people, I know we truly have a town and community that is worth preserving by continuing to work together, looking out for each other and supporting one another.

Happy New Year Warwick!
