GALLERY: Warwick Victorian Evening returns for 2024

By James Smith 29th Nov 2024

Thousands of residents were out in a packed Warwick town centre last night (November 28) for the return of Warwick Victorian evening.

The streets were lined with food stalls, fairground rides and local businesses as Market Square and the surrounding streets were completely taken over by the event.

The town centre began to fill up from late afternoon as the market got underway, with live music also adding a touch of Christmas cheer from the stage outside Shire Hall.

Then at 7pm Mayor of Warwick Cllr Dave Skinner had the privilege of turning on the Christmas lights - with more being put up by Warwick Town Council than ever before.

Stall holders and locals also took the opportunity to dress up in Victorian clothes, with a best dressed competition also taking place.

A Punch and Judy show also ran through the night on Brook Street, meanwhile New Street was taken over by the 'There and Back Again' railway.

Last night also signalled the start of the Christmas Tree display at St Mary's church.

A gallery of images from the night can be seen at the top of this page.
