Ever wondered how often should you visit the hairdressers? Hair Management in Warwick has put together a handy guide to give us the answers…

At Hair Management in Warwick, we're always here to help with all your hair queries.

Whether it's a fresh cut, new colour or root coverage, we'll help you find the perfect timing to book your next appointment so your hair stays looking fabulous - without spending money on services you don't need just yet!

We know it can be a bit overwhelming trying to figure out when to refresh your look, so here's a handy guide to keep your hair on point, whatever the service.

How often do I need my haircut?

The answer: six to ten weeks

The timing of your haircut depends on your hair length and style.

For shorter cuts or precision styles, we recommend every six to eight weeks to maintain that fresh, sharp look. For longer hair, you can stretch it a little to eight to ten weeks, but remember - trimming those ends keeps your hair healthy and free from split ends!

And if you're working on growing it out, regular trims are still key to prevent breakage.

When should I book in for Gloss/Toner?

Answer: six to eight weeks

Have you got colour-treated hair?

A gloss or toner can help maintain the vibrancy of your shade between full colouring appointments.

Whether you're sporting cool ashy tones or warm caramel hues, booking a gloss every six to eight weeks can revive your colour's shine and freshness, without fully committing to a new colour job.

When should I come back for Highlights?

Answer: six to 12 Weeks

If you love that high-contrast, freshly highlighted look, then six to eight weeks is ideal for a touch-up.

However, if you prefer a softer, more blended outgrown effect, you can wait up to 12 weeks before your next appointment.

If it's just the roots that need refreshing, we could apply T-section (the top) of your hair after six weeks in between your full colour.

When should I come back for my Roots?

Answer: four to six weeks

We would generally recommend having your roots touched up every four to six weeks, depending on your hair growth rate and the colour contrast between your natural hair and any colour applied to your hair.

If you have a more noticeable difference, such as going from dark to light, you might want to come in closer to the four-week mark.

For less noticeable regrowth, six weeks could work just fine.

If you're finding root maintenance a little hair difficult to upkeep, speak to one of our stylists about a more manageable colour or application.

Our grey blending service for example is a great way to blend your greys into your colour, which will reduce the time you need to colour up the odd greys coming through.

Remember, these are general guidelines.

Hair grows at different rates, and lifestyle factors (like heat styling and hair type) can impact how often you'll need to book in. If you're ever unsure, always ask your stylist—that's what the team at Hair Management are here for.

Keeping your hair looking its best shouldn't be stressful, and we've got your back (and your hair!).
