Rubrik Engineer/Professional Services Engineer - 6 months - Remote/Warwickshire - Inside IR35

VIQU have partnered with an established IT services provider seeking an experienced Rubrik Engineer/Professional Services Engineer to deliver a Rubrik backup and recovery implementation within a large enterprise environment.

The project is at an early stage, and the immediate priority is to secure a hands-on specialist with extensive experience deploying Rubrik solutions from scratch, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring successful implementation.

This is a project delivery role rather than BAU support, requiring someone who has personally delivered end-to-end Rubrik deployments and can confidently engage with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Role:

The successful Rubrik Engineer/Professional Services Engineer will take responsibility for the hands-on implementation of a Rubrik backup and recovery solution, working closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

You will need to combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication skills, taking ownership of technical challenges while ensuring project progress, risks and solutions are clearly communicated to the wider business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on installation, configuration and deployment of Rubrik backup and recovery solutions within a complex enterprise environment.

  • Support the end-to-end implementation life cycle, from initial planning and configuration through to testing, troubleshooting and handover.

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve technical issues throughout the deployment process.

  • Work closely with internal infrastructure teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.

  • Provide technical guidance, identify potential risks and recommend practical solutions to deployment challenges.

  • Communicate technical concepts, project progress and issues clearly to senior managers and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Produce technical documentation and support knowledge transfer following implementation.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience implementing and deploying Rubrik solutions from scratch is essential.

  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end Rubrik implementations within enterprise IT environments.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Rubrik backup and recovery technologies, including installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting.

  • Experience integrating Rubrik with enterprise infrastructure, including virtualised environments.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex deployment issues.

  • Previous experience delivering projects within a Professional Services, consultancy or MSP environment would be advantageous.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex technical matters in straightforward, non-technical language.

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical delivery and engage confidently with senior stakeholders.

Role Details:

  • Job Role: Rubrik Engineer/Professional Services Engineer

  • Contract: 6 months initial (view to extension)

  • Location: Predominantly remote, with occasional travel to Gaydon, Warwickshire (approximately once every two weeks)

  • Start Date: ASAP - immediate availability preferred

  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (subject to confirmation)
