Our client, a leader in the utilities sector, is seeking a talented Project Planner / Planning Engineer to join their Construction team. Role: P6 Planner

Duration: 12 Months (extension options)

Location: Remote (Must be prepared to travel)

Rate: 400 per day (umbrella) or 62,000 PAYE

Our Construction department is at the forefront of diverse and challenging work, encompassing all major digging, tunnelling, excavating, civils, mechanical, and engineering tasks for large gas transmission projects.

About the Role:

As a key member of the Project Planning Team, you will support the Construction department by providing a comprehensive programme planning service. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing and implementing efficient end-to-end programmes. Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Ownership: Take charge of all aspects of the planning process, including critical path analysis and contractor programmes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure contractor programmes comply with NEC and works information.
  • Analysis: Evaluate construction sequences, identify opportunities, and assess risks to provide insights for successful project delivery.
  • Data Management: Ensure robust data integration within the master schedule to present an accurate picture of progress against the baseline.
  • Reporting: Engage with contractor planning resources for month-end reporting routines and raise any programme issues.
  • Impact Assessments: Carry out assessments of early warnings or change events to facilitate timely decision-making.
  • Site Engagement: Attend sites during delivery to validate supply chain progress and ensure the programme is fully cost-loaded.

About You:

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of project planning techniques and proficiency in Primavera P6 (Microsoft Project knowledge is a plus).
  • Expertise: A strong understanding of NEC clauses related to planning, early warnings, and compensation events.
  • Analytical Mind: The ability to conduct impact assessments and risk analyses effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • License: A current full UK driving licence.
  • Membership: Ideally, membership in a professional organization like APM or IET.

Our prestige engineering client is currently recruiting for the following role: Chassis Systems Engineer - Vehicle Motion Controls - 44/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire/Hybrid - 6 Months (potential to roll)Role Summary:As a Systems Engineer Chassis Motion Control, you will be responsible for the design, development, and validation of vehicle motion control systems such as electronic stability control (ESC), brake control, active suspension, and steering systems. This role involves system architecture, requirements engineering, functional safety compliance. The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Driver Modes System onto current and future vehicle platforms, from initial Definition through Model Delivery, Validation and Sign-Off for a Premium Midlands based OEM.Area of responsibility:- Define system architecture for chassis motion control systems (braking, steering, suspension).- Develop functional and non-functional requirements based on vehicle dynamics targets and customer/OEM specifications.- Create system-level models (e.g., using MATLAB/Simulink) to simulate and validate control strategies.- Translate stakeholder and OEM requirements into system specifications.- Ensure traceability and consistency across all levels (requirements, design, verification).- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to define interfaces and integration requirements.- Work in accordance with ISO 26262 to define safety goals, perform hazard analysis and risk assessment (HARA), and support safety case development.- Define system validation plans including test scenarios for vehicle dynamics, fail-safe behaviours, and edge casesKnowledge / Experience (Essential):- Automotive or Electrical Engineering Degree with a minimum of 6 years Industry Experience (Automotive preferred) - Experience in Automotive Chassis / Motion Systems and associated features, although strong candidates with relevant system experience from other industries such as aerospace will also be considered.- Some experience of delivering complex mechatronic systems from concept to production.- Demonstrable experience of delivering complex projects to quality, cost and time. - You will have a strong background in systems engineering and requirement management, along with change management tools and processes, version control, control strategy documentation. - You will have demonstrable experience in Jira toolsets, including but not limited to Confluence and Lucid.- Experience in delivery of safety critical active control systems and associated software to ISO26262 standards.- Strong knowledge of control systems, vehicle dynamics, and embedded systems.- Proficiency in tools like MATLAB/Simulink, INCA, CANape, CANalyzer, DOORS, or Polarion.- Experience with ECU development, chassis sensors, and actuators.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong influencing and engagement skills. - Proficiency in issue resolution management, including both methodology and application e.g. 8D, Fishbone.- Full UK driving licenseKnowledge / Experience (Desirable):- Knowledge of vehicle dynamics particularly in the active systems domain. - Experience delivering complex integrated control systems for a large-scale OEM.- Experience in MBSE methods and toolsets (MSOSA or similar)- Hands on vehicle testing in the active systems domain including subjective and objective test methods.- Understanding of automotive networking, diagnostics and fault handling techniques, and related system development tools (CANalyzer, ASL, CANape, etc.) - Previous experience with client and their technology/product delivery processes would be an advantage.- Recognised industry driving qualifications e.g. JLR's Class 3 / 4PG etc.Additional Information:This role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.The services advertised by Premea Limited for this vacancy are those of an Employment Business.Premea is a specialist IT & Engineering recruitment consultancy representing clients in the UK and internationally within the Automotive, Motorsport and Aerospace sectors.>
