Role: Network Architect

Duration: 6 Months (extension options)

Location: Wokingham (Hybrid)

Rate: 800 per day (umbrella)

About the Role:

As a Network Architect, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the transition of our network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure a seamless migration while maintaining peak performance, security, and scalability. Key Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to develop and execute transition strategies for migrating network environments with minimal disruption.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to guarantee a smooth transition.
  • Identify risks and dependencies in network transitions, crafting effective migration strategies with relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and validate high-level designs (HLDs) and low-level designs (LLDs) to align with our business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Ensure that network designs comply with architecture standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Partner with 3rd parties to refine HLDs and LLDs to meet our business requirements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in IT network architecture and design.
  • Ensure network patterns are future-proof and adaptable to our tactical and strategic requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance on routing, switching security, and cloud networking.
  • Conduct design workshops and knowledge transfer sessions for stakeholders.

Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Network Architect with a focus on transitions and design validation.
  • Expertise in reviewing HLDs and LLDs to ensure alignment with business and technical objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
  • Ability to assess risks and develop migration strategies in complex network transitions.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
